My first website had the elements needed for my music video, however i did not like the overall theme of the site as it didn't stand out like an artist's website should.
The website focused too much on the release of the new song as opposed to the artist himself. With the song being 'Mr Blue Sky' the website had blue skies to link to the song as opposed to being primarily the artist. This small change made me remake the website completely with the sole intention to promote the artist as opposed to the song.
The second draft:
The second draft is arguably much more in line with the aims of the website, selling the artist more than the song.
The colour of the website has changed significantly going from a light blue to a complete black with details in gold, this is to follow the design of the artists logo as it is in gold font which goes well with black.
In addition to this, links to the social media platforms have been used at the top of the website, as well as the bottom with pictures taken directly from the Instagram page.
The about page is ideal for my artist, having a background description of him as well as images taken from the music video but also as original images.
The about is ended with Cabishan's logo, with also acts as a signature to add a sense of identity to the website.
The links to the social media platforms are also present at the top of the screen, as well as the links back to the home page in addition to the about page.
