Michael Jackson- Analysis

The anthem "earth song" is a song about nature and showing the beauty of the planet and why we should be protecting it instead of destroying it. The song starts with shots of a forest in the sunshine but suddenly a bulldozer appears and starts killing the trees, it then fades to a apocalyptic scene which is the aftermath of the deforestation. Many people are affected by this from tribes in Africa to businesspeople and even Michael Jackson. Many questions are asked by MJ as he walks through a land with red skies and fires burning everywhere. After seeing more shots of terrible things occurring the people all hold the ground in unison when something cataclysmic happens. Because of the powers people have the trees return and many people affected by deforestation come back to life with everyone looking up to MJ as he is seen as the saviour and a prophet. This anthem shows the power we have when we are united over the same issues and how any thing can be fixed if we all work together.
